Maureen Paley is pleased to present the first solo exhibition of new work by Andrew Grassie.

Project:

Install a series of paintings at the gallery depicting the year’s previous exhibitions during their installation. Each painting should hang at the very spot from which the image was taken enabling the viewer to compare views of the space.

Process:

22/02/06 Arrive at the gallery and photograph the installation of Dick Evans’ work and shoot the installation from
selected angles.

04/04/06 Arrive at the gallery as Maaike Schoorel’s paintings are being documented and photograph the space from
three angles.

31/05/06 Document the Banks Violette installation on the ground floor as it is being constructed.

15/06/06 Start work on the Schoorel painting.

15/07/06 Start work on the Evans painting.

22/08/06 Start work on the Violette painting.

01/09/06 Photograph Seb Patane’s installation.
